Resolve is a deeply network-oriented establishment, where we know that creativity and community care are always in conversation with one another. Finally, Resolve has the energetic capacity to focus on making the kind of future we want for ourselves and our loved ones a reality. As such, we are currently requesting sponsorship and funding to ethically, and sustainably, fund community programming incentives.

Because massage therapy is generally perceived as a luxurious service for the affluent, we observe that it isn’t often prioritized as a means of non-pharmaceutical pain management, especially in times of growing economic uncertainty + hardship, and especially among lower-income communities. Unfortunately, these are also the communities that tend to be the most negatively impacted by pain, pharmaceutical pain management, and the unsupported pathway to long-term addiction that often comes with it. Resolve currently offers reduced rate services, but these are provided at the charitable expense of our massage therapists. This alone limits our bandwidth.

Your donations go directly towards sustainable access to free services to lower income clients, while ensuring that our staff is paid appropriately for their time and labor.

To elaborate: As a donor, you are directly supporting Resolve’s efforts to create access to our therapeutic services for folks who are historically othered in wellness spaces due to socioeconomic factors - people of color, queer and trans people, those who are newly grieving loved ones, as well as those within a fixed income bracket.

Some specific examples of what your contributions support include:

  • Free bodywork for BIPOC and queer/trans folx

  • Free or significantly rate-reduced bereavement bodywork

  • Free community workshops, inclusive of a greater collective’s definition of autonomy in pain management. Subjects will include, but are not limited to, non-pharmaceutical pain management, self-massage and partner massage.

  • Sprout Borrowing Library - a small structure built into the front of our establishment, designed to provide literary resources in support of autonomy in wellness. Sprout will offer a native seed library, as well as books and zines in alignment with our values to be borrowed, or given, free of charge.

We thank you for your support in helping us get our community-minded incentives off the ground, sustainable, and accessible for the collective. We are all in this together!

Be on the lookout for monthly updates regarding our progress, and specific events that your contributions have funded. Thank you!
